The best thing about Los Angeles is you can go anywhere you want (with or without traffic). The beach is on one side, the mountains are on the other, Las Vegas is pretty close, ride down to the valley, up to the coast or you can just find a 7-11 on every corner to get a cool Slurpee.
Kyle and I bought a $5 all day train pass last Friday. We had no clue where we were headed or even where we would end up in. Join us for the ride. Get lost.
Manhattan Beach? About the only things I saw were science testing labs and a whole lot of high school kids. And that one guy who honked at us. Loser... Someone show me the beach next time.
However, we did find Tomboy's. Not Tommy's. But Tomboy's.
Then somehow we ended up in Mexico? Nah, it was a small town in South Central called Florence. A lot of "what are they doing here?" looks, "are they Chinese or Japanese?" looks, "they're kind of cute for some Asians" looks, and "wow, those jeans are really tight" stares. I just looked it up and there is a 0.12% population rate of Asians. Ahhh, I understand now.
This guy was rad. This particular shop housed hundreds of live chicken and CHOP! There goes dinner. Thanks El Pollo Loco.
Who wants to tag along next time?
